Trastevere
in Italian means 'across the Tiber'. It is the 'Left Bank' of Rome
and is a very lively district. Narrow winding streets feed into
piazzas. Restaurants gelaterias and coffee bars are everywhere.
Locals and tourists mix creating an atmosphere not to be missed
when in Rome.
A taste of Italy in Dublin.
Trastevere occupys a corner site in the handsomely rebuilt square,
is chic and modern, and tall windows let you watch life pass by
while enjoying dinner or a snack. That life might easily include
street theatre or a music procession, for this part of the city
is a designated cultural area.
Traditional and new world Italian dishes share the menu with home-grown
favourites.
